NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Earlham College track and field team competed at the Muskingum Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Women's highlights
Prynces Robinson kicked off the day with an indoor PR in the long jump at 5.11 meters. Taking 4th in the event, while
Alex Ball joined her in the finals with a jump of 4.35 meters. Robinson later won the triple jump for the second consecutive meet with a leap of 10.66 meters.
Ball also took home a 3rd place finish in the high jump, leaping 1.40 meters.
Cleo Saltz continued the scoring in the women's mile, taking home a 4th place finish with a time of 5:31.09. Saltz now sits in the top 5 in the conference for the mile.
Nyah Herbert kept the ball rolling in the women's 800 meter run with a 3rd place finish, pouring on a 2:34 which lands her top 5 in the conference as well. She was accompanied by
Sammy West who added a 7th place finish, running a 2:47.
In the 500 meter dash,
Mallory Rich &
Sofie Kurrasch went 1-2, battling each other all the way to the finish. Both runners finished with a time of 1:30, and a photo finish was used to determine placing.
To round out the scoring, the Quakers 4x200 relay team of Robinson, Rich, Kurrasch, and Herbert put together a 3rd place finish.
Men's highlights
The Quaker men opened the scoring on the day with a second-place finish from Freshman
Logan Brown, throwing down a massive PR in the long jump with a 6.62 meter leap.
Anthony Gough scored a second-place finish in the 1000 meter run with a time of 2:51.23, leading the way for the distance crew on the day.
The men later continued the scoring with a 6th place finish in the 4x200 with Griffin-Walker, Drewery, Brown, and Moriel.
The Quakers will be back in action next weekend
