RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College men's and women's golf teams hosted the 5th Annual Earlham Spring Invitational at the Richmond Elks Country Club.
The leading Quakers each finished in the Top 10 in their respective tournaments.
Arthur Del Bourgo (Jr., Metz, France) finished in 9th after a strong first day, and
Izzy Flint (FY, West Lafayette, Ind,) bounced back from a slow start for 10th.
The women finished in 4th place in the 5-team event narrowly missing out on 3rd by one stroke. In addition to Flint,
Brileigh Quillen-Popejoy (So., Kokomo, Ind.) and Mary Kaitlyn Bauer (FY, Oklahoma City, Okla.) finished tied for 12th.
The men finished at the bottom of the table of the 9-team tournament. EJ Upton (Sr., West Chester, Ohio) posted a career best 78 in Round 2 en route to a 46th place overall.
"It was great seeing EJ and Mary Kaitlyn post career best rounds at our home event. We will continue to work on trying to put two rounds together," noted Head Coach
Matt Brown.
Both squads round out the regular season next weekend with the women at the Forest Hills Spring Invitational hosted by cross-town rivals IU-East, and the are at the DePauw Spring Clash at Pebble Brook Golf Club in Noblesville, Ind.
