PENDLETON, Ind. – The Earlham College women's tennis team battled Transylvania with a 4-3 loss on Saturday in the HCAC Semifinal.
HCAC Player of the Year
Vanessa Akuaku dropped her first conference matchup of the season, falling 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 at No.1 singles.
Lawrencia Manu and
Mackenzie Davis also went to three sets in losses at No.2 and No.3 singles.
Paige Hobbs scored a win for Earlham at No.5 singles, taking a dominant 6-0, 6-1 win.
Ava Marroni also picked up a win with a 6-4, 6-1 result at No.6 singles.
In doubles play, Akuaku and Manu took No.2 with a 6-3 win, and Marroni teamed up with Davis for a 6-2 win at No.3.
The Quakers conclude their 2025-26 season with a 13-6 record, a 4-3 mark in conference play, and a second consecutive run in the HCAC Tournament.
