An incoming senior on the Earlham softball team, Tanglao delivered the walk-off hit in the HCAC Championship series to send the Quakers to the NCAA Regional Tournament. When she’s not playing second base on the diamond, she works as a Marketing and Promotions Intern. Tanglao implements sponsorship contracts, assists in coordinating on-field promotions and activities, and helps create new ones. She assists with mascot and player appearances in the community, and helps deliver marketing material and social media promotions.
“My experience has been good so far, I am gaining insight of what it is like working in the sports industry.” Said Tanglao. “I have also had the opportunity to interact with fans, assist with game day operations and seeing how different departments work together to create successful fan experiences.”
Tanglao got started with the Flying Mummies through their partnership with Earlham while looking for a summer internship. In the spring, she posted a .282 batting average with six doubles, 14 RBI and 17 runs scored. The best part of her experience has been seeing her impact on the community, and seeing the hard work done by the department come to life.
