CARMEL, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced on Tuesday the 2024 all conference softball teams, recognizing the top performers from the season. Included in this year's edition, two Earlham College freshmen have earned a spot among the best in the league. 

Bo Shelton earned a spot on the first team as a shortstop in her freshman season. Shelton led the Quakers at the plate with a .383/.438/.570 line across 128 at bats. She hit 12 doubles, three triples and two home runs, including the first long ball since the program was resurrected on opening day. Shelton also led the Quakers in runs with 18, RBI with 19, and was second in steals with four. In the conference, Shelton ranked top-10 in slugging percentage, hits, doubles and triples. 

Morgan Cooksey was placed on the second team after leading the Quakers in the circle. The freshman posted a 2.99 ERA and 1.16 WHIP across 142.2 innings of work. Cooksey led the Quakers in strikeouts with 128, and allowed a .250 batting average with a 10-12 record. She threw 16 complete games with two shutouts and two saves. 

The Quakers finished the season with a 15-26 record and an 8-10 mark in conference play. After making the HCAC Tournament as the sixth seed, Earlham eliminated Defiance College and finished in fourth place in the tournament.
