RICHMOND, Ind. – The Earlham College women's soccer team came back from a 2-0 halftime deficit to tie Albion College 2-2 on Wednesday in Matlack-Messer Stadium.
The Briton's scored in the 13 minute to take the lead, and scored another in the 41st minute.
Trailing 2-0,
Sammy West scored her first career goal in the 70th minute with an assist on the cross by
Liz Burley.
Quinn Doden then equalized the game in the 75th minute with a long-range shot that the senior defender looped over the Briton goalkeeper for the score.
The Quakers were outshot 17-7, and
Makayla Hurey brought in 11 saves in goal, the third highest total of her career.
Earlham begins conference play on Saturday at home against Franklin College. Kickoff is slated for 1 pm in Matlack-Messer Stadium. The match also serves as the first HCAC doubleheader of the season, with the men's squad kicking off at 3:30 on Saturday.
