CARMEL, Ind. – On Tuesday, the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced Morgan Cooksey as HCAC Pitcher of the Week. 

Cooksey threw a complete game shutout to earn the win over Hanover in game two on Sunday. The sophomore struck out seven batters while allowing four hits and no runs in the 7-0 conference win. Cooksey also threw three scoreless innings against Hope on Tuesday, surrendering three hits with four strikeouts.

This is the fourth weekly honor of Cooksey's young career. 

Cooksey and the rest of the Quaker softball team will host Ohio Wesleyan University on Thursday afternoon in Ellie Bewley Stadium.
