WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Earlham College track and field team competed in the JennaStrong Invitational hosted by Wilmington College on Friday and Saturday.
Connor Smith won the men's javelin, posting a throw of 41.3 meters for the win and a new personal best. Fellow Quaker basketball star
Berkley Shelton won the women's javelin with a heave of 28.3 meters.
Sofie Kurrasch and Ava Walters also placed in the women's event in third and seventh place respectively.
Prynces Robinson won the women's triple jump with a mark of 11.07 meters. Robinson now holds the top mark in the triple jump for the HCAC so far this season.
Isa Slone returned to the top spot of the podium in the women's long jump, winning the event with a jump of 5.32 meters. Robinson placed third with a jump of 4.9 meters. Slone also finished in third place in the 200 meter dash with a new personal best time of 28.24.
Tommy Reddick scored a new PR in the men's long jump, posting a leap of 6.4 meters to take third place in the event.
Logan Brown was close behind in fourth in the event with a mark of 6.39 meters. Both Reddick and Brown are in the top-10 in the conference so far.
Cleo Saltz finished second in the women's 1500 meter run with a time of 5:01.52. Saltz was two seconds clear of third place at the finish.
Shelton scored again in the shot put with a fourth-place effort after posting a throw of 10.29 meters.
Alex Ball placed fourth in the high jump after clearing 1.42 meters on her first attempt.
Kurrasch scored points in the 100 meter dash, clocking a time of 14.27.
Earlham is slated to compete at the DePauw Indiana DIII Invitational next weekend.
