BEREA, Ky. – The Earlham College women's soccer team reached its highest goal total of the season with a 5-0 win at Berea College on Wednesday evening.
Kiley Bohart got things started in the 22nd minute of play with her first career goal to take the lead. Earlham took 11 shots in the opening frame, and led 1-0 at halftime.
Mariana Mendez scored in the 55th minute with an assist on a corner kick by
Melissa Teke. The Quakers scored three goals in a three minute span starting in the 62nd minute by Isa Slone unassisted. Mendez then recorded her second goal of the game in the 63rd minute with an assist from
Mallory Smith.
In the 64th minute, the pair combined again for the fifth and final score of the match.
Earlham outshot the Mountaineers 21-1, and did not allow a shot on goal the entire match.
Makayla Hurey recorded her sixth shutout of the season in goal.
Earlham hosts Hanover College on Saturday for Senior Day in Matlack-Messer. Kickoff is slated for 1 pm.
