Earning a total of 12 varsity letters in four sports at Earlham, C. Thomas Johnson lettered four years and served as a captain in both wrestling and football. An outstanding wrestler, Johnson captured heavyweight division championship titles at the 1965 and 1966 Little State and the 1967 Hoosier College Conference meets. He played offensive and defensive tackle for the Quaker football team. Johnson garnered three more letters in track by throwing the shot put and discus, and also lettered in golf as a senior. After receiving an MBA from Indiana University in 1969, Johnson joined Harris Bank where he has worked for 30 years in the investment management field. He earned Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1975 and has dealt with foundations, endowment funds, pension plans and foreign governments. He has served as a Senior Partner, Portfolio Manager for Harris Investment Management.
