Earlham College

George Van Dyke came to Earlham in 1930. He served as the baseball coach from 1932 to 1953 and was dean at Earlham from 1940 to 1945. His former students established the Van Dyke Physics Award. He was known as one of the most enthusiastic backers of Earlham sports. George received his A.B. degree from Park College in 1920 and earned his doctorate from the University of Michigan.
