Darrell Beane received Special Recognition from the Earlham Athletics Hall of Fame for his passion and tireless energy while serving his alma mater as the director of admissions and assistant to the president during the 1960s and 1970s. After his 15-year career in higher education, Beane became an attorney, a city judge and the director of development at Reid Hospital in Richmond. Beane was honored with Earlham’s Outstanding Alumni Award in 1993. While a student at Earlham, Beane was the quarterback for the football team from 1951-54. The Quakers' football stadium is named after Darrell Beane.
