Earlham College

Mark Thompson was a two-sport athlete in his time at Earlham playing four years of football and baseball. Football was the sport Thompson had the biggest impact. He started 39 of 40 games in his career and he held six Earlham records when he graduated in 1997.

As a senior quarterback, Thompson was All-North Coast Athletic Conference Second Team, while being named Earlham’s Co-Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year. He was also the team’s MVP in 1995 and Most Improved Player in 1994. He was All-NCAC Honorable Mention in both of those seasons.

On the baseball field, Thompson was All-NCAC Honorable Mention as a pitcher in 1996 and received was the Player of the Year in 1997.

Thompson, who was the George Van Dyke Award recipient in 1997, is a doctor in Bellevue, Washington.
