Earlham College

A leading scholar as well as a top athlete during his years at Earlham, William Walker was a four-year letterman in football and track and earned two more varsity letters in basketball. He led the 1962 undefeated football team in scoring and in tackles. In track, he held Earlham’s high jump and shot put records for many years. A biology major, Walker went on from Earlham to earn MD and Ph.D. degrees, and worked as a private physician in Milwaukee and assistant professor of pathology at the University of Wisconsin Medical College.
