Ron Furniss graduated from Earlham in 1970 as a Political Science major and 4-year football letterwinner. Furniss was a two-way player for the Quakers performing as a fullback and defensive lineman. He was voted team Most Valuable Player as a junior and senior. He was the leading scorer for Earlham from 1966-69 and still holds two school records for most career points (174) and career touchdowns (28).
