Justin Rummell started at quarterback for the Quakers from 2002-06. Rummell holds 18 school records including six career records – total plays, total offense, passing attempts, passing completions, passing yards, and touchdown passes. Four of those records are also records for the North Coast Athletic Conference.Rummell had one of the best games in program and conference history on Sept. 10 of 2005.

Rummell led Earlham to its lone win of the 2005 football season, a 69-62 triumph over Manchester University at Darrell Beane Stadium. He completed 22-28 passes for 476 yards and seven touchdowns. Both are still single-game school records.

Rummell’s two best statistical seasons came in 2004 and 2006. In 2004, he tallied 2,701 total yards, 286.8 passing yards per game, and a .605 completion percentage, all school records. In 2006, Rummell set school records in completions (226), passing attempts (397), and touchdown passes (2006).
