Earlham College

Named Earlham College “Girl of the Year” as a senior, Fuglister played baseball and field hockey and was a member of the E, EE, and EC clubs. She worked on the executive board of the Women’s Athletic Association for two years and served as its secretary-treasurer for the 1926-27 academic year. Involved in many activities, the Sargasso noted that “whether it is athletics or a social event ‘Cec’ is right there.” After receiving her bachelor’s degree from Earlham, Fuglister continued her studies at Columbia University and earned a master’s degree in library science.
