Earlham College

James Fricke, who graduated in 1964, played football four years, while being a part of the baseball team in his first year at Earlham. He spent nine years coaching at Earlham (asst. football from 1967-73, head football from 1974-75, head wrestling coach from 1969-71, head golf coach 1972-76. When Fricke left Earlham, he became the athletic director at Marion High School in 1976. Overall, Fricke spent 37 years as a teacher, coach and athletic administrator. Fricke was previously honored by the Earlham Athletics Hall of Fame when the 1962 football team was inducted in 1995.
