Earlham College

Jerry Rushton was an outstanding athlete and coach at Earlham College. He lettered for four years in both cross country and track. In 1957, he set an Earlham track and field record for the 880-yard run. During his tenure as a coach in the 1960s, Jerry took three cross country teams to the national meet. The track and cross country teams he mentored were some of Earlham’s best in the history of the school, and many of their records still stand today.
