Earlham College

Nelson Bingham is not only a supporter of Earlham College athletics, he is also vital to the pursuit of academic excellence. Since his arrival in 1974, Nelson has been active in nearly every major committee on campus and served various roles including Acting President. He is currently Provost and Vice President along with being a Professor of Psychology.

However, Nelson received Special Recognition by the Earlham Athletics Hall of Fame for his contributions to the entire program. He has been the PA announcer for home football games since 1981. He also served as the Faculty Athletic Representative to the North Coast Athletic Conference. He was also the co-chair of the NCAC Sports Caucus. In his years on the faculty he has developed many relationships with Earlham athletes and they have a special place in his heart.
