David Coulter graduated from Earlham in 1979 with a Geology degree and letters in soccer and baseball. It was soccer in which Coulter had the most success. He was a 4-year starter and team Most Valuable Player in his last three seasons. He served as team captain as a senior and finished with 36 career goals. He also was his team's leading scorer as a junior and senior and was a 4-time All-Conference player, All-NAIA District 21 and a national soccer player-of-the-week for ISAA. Coulter also played baseball for the Quakers in two seasons.
