Selected to participate three times in the Women’s Lacrosse Association nation tournament, Nancy Fink was an outstanding member of the women’s lacrosse team at Earlham. After playing for the Midwest II team as a sophomore, she competed on the Midwest I team as a junior and senior. Noted for her leadership and successful teams, the four-year letter winner was a team captain for two years and the 1976 Quaker most valuable player. Fink also lettered twice in field hockey. She continued her athletic career as a lacrosse and field hockey club player in Philadelphia from 1979-83 and in Baltimore in 1984 and 1985. A Spanish and elementary education major at Earlham, she earned a master’s degree in Spanish from Middlebury College. Fink has taught in bilingual schools in Texas and Panama. She also has been a teacher and coach of lacrosse and field hockey as Philadelphia Friends Central, Moorestown Friends and the Park schools. At the time of induction, she lived in Baltimore and was a Spanish teacher at the Park School.
