Sam Hogenauer received Special Recognition from the Earlham Athletics Hall of Fame for his dedication to his alma mater and service as president of the EC Club for many years. While at Earlham, Hogenauer was a kicker and punter for the Quakers from 1965-68 and still holds three school records. He scored the most points in a game by a kicker (11), has the highest punting average for a season (41.5 yards). After graduation, Hogenauer was signed by the National Football League’s Pittsburgh Steelers. He also spent numerous hours as a kicking coach for the Earlham football teams.
