Earlham College

Floyd “Butch” Peters was one of the most outstanding athletes to graduate from Earlham College. Butch lettered four years in football, basketball and baseball. Each time the baseball and track teams competed at home together, Butch would pole vault between innings. After graduation, Butch signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and he played for their minor franchise until he was drafted by the United States Military.
