    Administrator/Coach

Instrumental in much of the early development of Earlham athletics, Tom Brown helped coach and organize the first men’s soccer team in 1949 and continued through 1953. Because of his dedication, enthusiasm and devotion to the team, Earlham became recognized as a contender and eventual champion of the Midwest Soccer Association. His teams played against and defeated many schools of varied sizes. Brown coached two All-American and several All-Midwest Conference players. In addition to his coaching, Tom served as an Earlham professor of religion and philosophy.
